South Sudan (Onkod Radio) — The Ethiopian ambassador in South Sudan, Ambassador Nebil Mahdi, met today with H.E Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior, Vice President for the Gender and Youth Cluster of the Republic of South Sudan, and they exchanged views on mutual bilateral and regional concerns.
The ambassador updated the Vice President on the Ethiopian government’s continued commitments with regard to the humanitarian assistance deliveries to the TLPF-provoked war-affected areas as well as on Ethiopia-Sudan border issues. Moreover, the ambassador reiterated Ethiopia’s consistent support for the implementation of the South Sudanese peace agreement process.
Appreciating Ethiopia’s steadfast support for her country, the Vice President, on her part, briefed the ambassador on the current affairs of South Sudan. She has also commended Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s commitment towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict in North Ethiopia and border issues with Sudan.
