Mogadishu, Somalia (Onkod Radio) – Renowned Somali journalist Ali Muse Abdi died at his home in Italy, family members and friends announced his death on Thursday.

It was not immediately clear the reasons behind his death, however, family members confirmed said that the journalist died a sudden illness which caused his death.

Mr. Abdi worked with several local and international media institutions throughout his career, including AFP, BBC, ANSA news agency among other international media news outlets.

Somali journalists poured condolence message on social media and asked Allah to award him Jannah.
